Tincup Returns To The Mountains

To celebrate its Colorado roots and the adventures that take place above 14,000 feet, Tincup Mountain Whiskey released the second in an annual limited-edition series of its 14-year aged whiskey – Tincup Fourteener Bourbon Whiskey.

Fourteener is a bourbon aged in new white American Oak barrels for 14 years, then cut to proof with Eldorado Springs water. The expression  features Quandary Peak for the Fourteener Release #2, as the peak is consistently one of the most popular 14er hikes in the state of Colorado. The bottle celebrates the Tenmile Rage, and its accessibility is in line with Tincup’s eort to encourage more people to explore the outdoors.

In addition, Tincup partnered with the Colorado Fourteeners Initiative (CFI) to carry out a combined responsibility to protect and preserve some of the state’s most treasured resources. As a part of this Fourteener Series, Tincup is donating $14,000 back to the Colorado Fourteeners Initiative with every annual release. This donation is a part of CFI’s Adopt a Peak Program to preserve and restore trails.

According to the CFI, in 2022, the estimated hiking use days on Colorado 14ers was 279,000. 22,000 of those days were on Quandary Peak, making it the second most hiked 14er in the state.

“CFI is honored to continue partnering with Tincup for the second Fourteener whiskey release. Over the past two years, Tincup has generously donated to support CFI’s trail maintenance and restoration eorts,” said Brian Sargeant, Development and Communications Manager, CFI. “Tincup’s commitment to supporting the state’s tallest peaks has extended beyond financial support by partnering on a volunteer trail stewardship project and using their platform to raise awareness for CFI’s mission. We are proud to see a Colorado company giving back to protect the iconic 14,000-foot peaks.”
Tincup Fourteener Release #1 featured Longs Peak, which is a part of Colorado’s Front Range mountains.

Tincup Mountain Whiskey is a classic American Whiskey cut to proof with Rocky Mountain water and bottled at elevation 5,251’. As The Mountain Whiskey, Tincup aims to inspire and empower new and profound experiences in the great outdoors. The full Tincup lineup includes American Whiskey (Bourbon plus Colorado Single Malt), Straight Rye, 10-Year Aged Bourbon, Fourteener series, and the new Adventure Pack.

Tincup Fourteener Whiskey Release #2 is available now for $70.
