Cocktail of the Week: Van Gogh Is My Neighbor

This cocktail was inspired by the Immersive Van Gogh Experience in Hollywood. After you take it all in, go to the ALK at The Godfrey Hotel Hollywood to try this bourbon concoction that is inspired by Spring flavors floral notes.

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz. Buffalo Trace Bourbon
  • 1 oz. lemon juice
  • 1 oz. Blueberry-Lavender Syrup*
  • Mexican Sage flowers

Blueberry-Lavender Syrup (yields 3 cups)

  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1.5 cups blueberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 Tbsp. dried lavender buds

Instructions:

Bring water and sugar to simmer. Add blueberries and lavender. Cook on low heat for 8 minutes. Allow to rest for 1 hour. Puree and strain.

Instructions:

Build all liquid ingredients in rocks glass over ice. Stir 10 seconds. Garnish with flowers.
