This week’s cocktail is from the west coast! San Diego’s Prohibition is a popular underground speakeasy and craft cocktail bar located in the city’s Gaslamp Quarter. Their cocktails, created by by Beverage Director Ryan Andrews, pay homage to the city’s diverse neighborhoods. This one is inspired by North Park, known for it craft beer and various bars. The name is a reference to the overtly hipster reputation the neighborhood has.
Andrews, who also serves as the beverage director for Prohibition’s owner GBOD Hospitality Group, is also a partner in his own bitters company, R&D Bitters Co. His bitters are used in GBOD’s venues and many others across San Diego.
Ingredients:
- 2 oz Togouchi Japanese Whisky
- 1/2 oz Apricot Oleo-Saccharum
- 4 dashes R&D House Bitters
Instructions:
Stir all ingredients in a mixing glass and then strain into a rocks glass.
