Cocktail of the Week: Johnnie Walker’s Kitchen Sink Drinks

This week, instead of one cocktail, we’re featuring three… because we can all use it.

Johnnie Walker recently recruited bartenders for Kitchen Sink Drinks, a virtual program that creates custom drink recipes featuring unexpected ingredients submitted by consumers.

The program – which launched on Johnnie Walker’s Instagram – spotlighted three bartenders mixing up signature cocktails featuring user-submitted ingredients found in people’s home pantries: Austin’s Amanda Carto (The Beach Buoy), Miami’s Richard Mejia (Walking Tall) and Los Angeles’ Othon Nolasco (Salud).

Beach Buoy

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 oz Johnnie Red Label
  • 1 oz Pineapple Juice
  • 1/2 oz Lemon Juice
  • 1 coconut milk syrup
  • 1/2 red pepper flake syrup

Instructions:

Mix all ingredients together and serve in the coconut milk tin. Garnish with pineapple slice (if you have) and red pepper flakes. Please make sure to use a straw when drinking to avoid sharp edges. To make the coconut milk-syrup, mix together 2 oz coconut milk and 1 oz sugar. To make the Red Pepper Flake Syrup, mix together red pepper flakes, 1 oz of water and 1 oz sugar over stovetop and boil.

Salud

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 oz Johnnie Walker Red Label
  • 1 oz almond milk syrup (2:1 ratio almond milk to sugar)
  • 1/2 lime juice
  • Oil from orange peel

Instructions:
