The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame 2020 nominees were recently announced, so we’re dedicating this week’s cocktail pick to 2015 inductee Joan Jett. Named after the Runaways’ “Cherry Bomb” (which Jett was a member of), it’s another one of Christiaan Röllich‘s concoctions.
Ingredients:
- 1 oz Rittenhouse Rye
- 1 oz Cynar
- 1 oz lemon juice
- 3/4 oz cherry liqueur (Röllich uses the house-made recipe in his book, but you can also use cherry heering)
- 1 oz IPA
Instructions:
Add all ingredients into a cocktail shaker and dry shake (i.e. without ice). Add ice and wet shake. Strain ice out and dry shake again. Fine strain into a chilled Irish Coffee glass and garnish with a brandied cherry.
