Cocktail of the Week: BB Shake

Move over Pumpkin Spice, this week’s cocktail is going to be our flavor of choice this fall.

Drawing on the flavor combinations of peanut butter and banana milkshakes, Chug’s Diner Beverage Director Tom Lasher-Walker created the BB Shake – which stands for Bourbon and Banana – is an alcoholic play spiked with bourbon, with a touch of honey syrup to tie everything together.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 oz homemade peanut butter bourbon*
  • 1 oz Giffard Banana Liqueur
  • 1 oz heavy cream
  • 1/2 oz honey syrup**

Instructions:

Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker. Add ice, shake and strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish with grated cinnamon and single plantain chip.

* Add 100 grams of peanut butter to 750ml of bourbon, and blend. Leave to macerate over night and strain through a coffee filter.

** Add three parts honey to one part warm water. Stir until fully dissolved, bottle and label and store at room temperature.
