Rossville Union Celebrates #31DaysOfRye

August is National Rye Month and we’re celebrating with Rossville Union!

All month long on their social channels (@RossvilleUnion) they will be featuring classic cocktails, whiskey history, exclusive giveaways and special live sessions with leading experts. They’re also including a VIP virtual tasting experience with one of their master blenders.

Known as “the Masters of Rye,” MGP makes 90% of the country’s rye whiskies in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, including their only proprietary ryes, Rossville Union Master Crafted Straight Rye Whiskey and Rossville Union Barrel Proof Straight Rye Whiskey.

“I have spent my career working at the distillery in Lawrenceburg, the capital of rye. MGP’s rye history goes back over 200 years to the original Rossville distillery,” says Pam Soule, MGP Master Blender/Quality Manager. “We’re so passionate about rye from grain-to-bottle and are particularly proud of the expertise we bring to this amazing spirit. We love how this spicy, forward, rogue has always been ready to take on the world, one whiskey glass at a time. We especially love that rye whiskey is enjoying a well-earned boom of rediscovery, and we’re honored to be at the heart of it.”

Join the experts every Thursday at 6PM EST on Instagram to talk, demo and taste all-things rye:

  • August 6 (IGTV): Molly Wellmann, mixologist & owner of Japp’s, explores “The Classic” rye cocktails.
