Old Overholt Gets Older

Old Overholt Straight Rye Whiskey recently announced that their signature 86-proof liquid will now increase to a 4 year age statement.

The 4 year age benchmark pays homage to Overholt’s 1942 original age statement and marks a return to the liquid’s historical roots. As the oldest continually produced and maintained rye whiskey brand in America, an introduction to the 4 Year statement will be showcased on the front and back of the new label, facilitating the discontinuation of the current 3 year age statement.

Old Overholt strives to honor the brand bartenders love while always delivering the a great American Rye. The introduction of the 4 Year is the next phase in Old Overholt’s effort to bring traditions back to the forefront. This rye can now shine with a deeper flavor as a result of the age statement increase.

“A home bar favorite and bartender staple, Old Overholt has always offered imbibers and rye enthusiasts alike a super reliable, high-quality rye. Bringing the age statement back to 4 Year allows us to provide a more tried-and-true version of Overholt we know and love,” said Tim Heuisler, American Whiskey Ambassador for Beam Suntory. “Neat or in a classic cocktail the 4 Year really shines, and we’re excited to give our friends and fans something ‘new’ to enjoy.”

Old Overholt 4-Year-Old Straight Rye Whiskey is available for $19.99.
