Moët Hennessy has been demonstrating its commitment to sustainable development for almost 30 years, starting with the Champagne houses in 1990, and currently with a majority of their brands from Moët & Chandon to Belvedere Vodka. For Glenmorangie, its single malt scotch, it’s all about prevention.
The distillery has implemented methods that prevent additional pollution, minimizes their use of non-renewable resources, and reduces the pollutants and waste resulting from the operations.
They’re also helping to restore the oyster reefs around the Highlands. As a result, Native European oysters were reintroduced to coastal waters after an absence over 100 years. The project’s vision is to restore the reefs to the Firth, to enhance biodiversity and also act in tandem with the anaerobic digestion plant to purify the by-products created through the distillation process – an environmental first for a Distillery.
Similarly, other brands like Hennessy, Belevedere and Chandon also have their own sustainability efforts, including electric vehicles, energy conservation and water conservation.
