We’re wrapping up the month with a twist on our Irish whiskey cocktail theme but NOT featuring Irish whiskey.
Spork Pittsburgh collaborated with Angel’s Envy Bourbon with cocktails themed for the former’s Irish-focused celebration. A portion of proceeds from the cocktails created will benefit HeadsUpGuys, a nonprofit organization that supports men in their fight against depression.
The first cocktail, created by Sarah Hoffman, is an Irish Car Bomb meets Ramos Gin Fizz hybrid. The latter is a Manhattan meets a Shamrock Shake created by Spork co-owner Sean D. Enright.
The Foggy Dew
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 oz. Angel’s Envy Bourbon
- 1 oz. Guinness syrup
- 1 oz. cream
- 1 oz. Bailey’s Irish Cream
- 1 Egg White
- 5 dashes Angostura Bitters
Fill: Soda
Instructions:
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker and “dry shake” (no ice). Add Ice and shake again. Pour 2 ounces soda into a collins glass. Strain cocktail into glass with soda. Top with more soda at the end, carefully pouring into the middle of the foam head to create an elevated foamy head that expands over the top of the glass but does not fall over the sides.
Fairytale of New York
Ingredients:
- 2 oz. Angel’s Envy Bourbon
- 3/4 oz. Branca Menta
- 3 dashes Chocolate Bitters
Instructions:
Stir with ice and strain over a cocktail cherry in a coupe glass.
