We know we feature a lot of of New York City bars and bartenders but it is the city that never sleeps… and our HQ. It also has some of our best bartenders like Ivy Mix. Co-owner of Brooklyn staple Leyenda and co-founder of Speed Rack, a national cocktail competition featuring top female bartenders, Mix is a well-known fixture on the NYC cocktail scene and was named Tales of the Cocktail’s Best American Bartender of the Year in 2015.
She recently teamed with PUBLIC Hotel NYC to create the cocktail program for DIEGO, their hidden away bar and lounge, and this was one of our favorites — and not just because its named after its neighborhood, which we also love.
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz Bourbon
- 0.25 oz Ancho Reyes
- 0.5 oz Orange Juice
- 0.5 oz Lemon Juice
- 0.5 oz Simple Syrup
- 0.5 oz Byrrh
Instructions:
Add all ingredients to ice-filled mixing glass and stir until well chilled. Strain into rocks glass.
