This week’s cocktail is perfect for barbecues or summer dinners. Courtesy of Bladnoch Distillery’s Pure Scot Blended Scotch Whisky it pairs the smoky scotch with fresh pineapple. A rich Fresno chile honey syrup further highlights Pure Scot’s spicy notes.
Ingredients:
- 2 oz Pure Scot Blended Scotch Whisky
- 2 oz fresh pineapple juice
- 1/2 oz Fresno chile honey syrup
- 1/2 oz lime juice
Instructions:
Place ice in a cocktail shaker. Add all ingredients, shake, pour into a glass over ice. Garnish with lime wheel.
To make the syrup: Add 2 parts honey to 1 part water into a sauce pan. Then add pierced Fresno chiles (so they can properly sweat out), bring to high heat then stir. Next, cover and simmer on low heat for about 30 minutes. Let cool down, strain into a jar or bottle.
