The makers of TX Blended Whiskey and TX Straight Bourbon today announced the launch of TX Whiskey Unaged White Dog, the ninth overall expression of the TX Experimental Series.
This 120-proof expression is made from Sawyer Farms grain along with TX Whiskey’s wheated bourbon mash bill and showcases the initial steps of the whiskey making process. This unique experimental release highlights the essence of an unaged spirit to emphasize the amazing taste that develops right after the distillation process.
“Unaged White Dog is quite unique because the barrel has zero impact on the flavor and color, leaving the spirit crystal clear to showcase the grains, yeast, fermentation and distillation,” said TX Whiskey Head Distiller Evan Brewer. “The sweetness of the 100% Texas corn, wheat and malt shines through, and the lack of wood, oak and smoke allows the fruitiness, formed during fermentation and enhanced during distillation, to really be prominent.”
The TX Experimental Series includes the TX Experimental Rye, TX High Rye Texas Straight Bourbon, TX Blended Straight Bourbon, TX Straight Bourbon Whiskey Finished in Rum & Cognac Barrels, TX Straight Rye Whiskey Bottled-in-Bond, TX Straight Bourbon Whiskey Finished in Cabernet Barrels, TX Straight Bourbon Whiskey Double Oak and, most recently, TX Blend of Straight Whiskeys Finished in Apricot Brandy and Sherry Casks.
Only 1400 bottles of the TX Whiskey Unaged White Dog will be available for purchase for $39.99 at Whiskey Ranch. The limited release will only be available in 375ml bottles and limited to eight bottles per customer in a 30-day period.
