Powers Irish Whiskey is taking people on a trip to see their version of Ireland’s capital city. The brand recently released an online docuseries, “Dublin Distilled” featuring their Global Brand Ambassador Michael Carr on a journey throughout Dublin, visiting his favorite local spots and detailing the rich history of Irish Whiskey lurking just beneath the surface of modern-day Dublin.
Directed by Justin Pittney, the series spans the length of the city itself and celebrates Powers, a brand that has been ingrained in the city of Dublin since 1791. From the original site of John’s Lane Distillery, where the retired pot stills remain amidst the National College of Art & Design, to the Idlewild Bar and onto Drury St. Car Park where 20 years ago Powers was aged to perfection in their maturation warehouse, each site explores the lasting stamp the brand has placed on the city and its people. With cameos from Power family descendent Denis O’Reily, the two share a taste of Irish whiskey history overlaying the modern cityscape of Dublin, where the Powers brand grew up.
Available on YouTube, the Powers website as well as their Instagram and Facebook pages, the series gives viewers a unique look at the whiskey and the city it comes from.
