Old Line Gives Back To Vets Via Ohana Project

Old Line Spirits is building on its support of veteran-focused organizations with a limited-edition American Single Malt Ohana release supporting the Ohana 2023 Project.

Just 200 bottles of the 100 proof blend of Double Oak Cognac and Armagnac-finished whiskey will be released, with proceeds benefiting Ohana 2023, an international mixed rowing team comprised of four professionally trained ocean row members. The extremely limited edition features a special Ohana label that tells the story of Team Ohana along with a QR code for more information and to make a direct donation to the project.

Led by Marine veteran Paul Lore, he and three others will row across the Pacific Ocean this summer to raise awareness and funds for K9s For Warriors and the Children’s Tumor Foundation. Founded by Navy veterans Mark McLaughlin and Arch Watkins, this is the latest in Old Line’s philanthropic commitment to military-related programs.

“Supporting organizations that help military members and their families will always be a priority for us,” said Old Line Co-Founder Mark McLaughlin. “The Navy brought us together and still to this day is a big part of how we operate as company. We’re proud to be part of the Ohana 2023 project and help more veterans benefit from having service dogs.”

“I’ve seen firsthand how K9s For Warriors has impacted the lives of so many military veterans, and it’s an incredible honor to be able to partner with other fellow veterans for a cause that is so important to me,” added Ohana Founder Paul Lore.

In 2022, Lore and three veterans rowed 3,000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean over a span of 51 days, raising more than $750,000 to support K9s For Warriors efforts. None of the rowers had prior rowing experience before beginning their nearly two-month long rowing journey.

Other Old Line Spirits philanthropic efforts include support for the Fisher House Foundation, Baltimore Station, the Warrior Music Foundation and the Tailhook Educational Foundation.

Available only at the Baltimore distillery, the Old Line Spirits’ Ohana 2023 release is available now.
