Kingsbarn Crowns Two New Single Malts

Just in time for the coronation, Kingsbarns Distillery, one of Scotland’s youngest brands, has released two new single malts, a Doocot Single Malt Scotch and a Balcomie Single Malt Scotch.

Founded in 2019 by the Wemyss Family, whom have a longstanding passion for malt whisky dating back to the turn of the 19th century, Kingsbarn is proud to claim its stake amongst a young and upcoming community of distilleries in the UK releasing non-age statement, non-chill filtered single malts.

Distilled from barley sourced less than six miles from the distillery, Doocot has enjoyed a longer maturation in a selected combination of casks: 90% ex-Bourbon and 10% STR (shaved, toasted and re-charred) ex-Portuguese red wine casks.

Made from Fife-grown barley, Balcomie is bottled from 100% ex-Oloroso sherry casks. These casks were specifically chosen for their gentle oak flavors and rich sweetness to complement the fruity character of the spirit.

Kingsbarns Doocot Single Malt Scotch and Kingsbarns Balcomie Single Malt Scotch both retail for $60.
