Jefferson’s Ocean Aged At Sea Wheated is fully matured for at least four years, then placed in rickhouses on ships to travel the globe which hyper-ages the bourbon. Jefferson’s Twin Oak takes fully matured Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey and finishes it in new, proprietary barrels which were developed in collaboration with Independent Stave Company over 9 years and hundreds of experiments in barrels with different variables. Jefferson’s Twin Oak barrels are extra seasoned & grooved out to provide twice as much surface area, allowing more bourbon to come in contact with the oak.
Jefferson’s Reserve Pritchard Hill Cabernet Finish starts with Jefferson’s Reserve Kentucky straight bourbon and is finished in French Oak casks that once held Pritchard Hill Cabernet Sauvignon. These wine barrels that once matured the most sought-after wine in the Chappellet portfolio.
Jefferson’s Reserve Old Rum Cask Finish has spent 6 years maturing in American white oak casks before being transferred into specially selected old rum casks that previously held Goslings Family Reserve, awarded the best aged rum in Bermuda. Extra aging for 10 months in these old rum casks creates a rich and rounded bourbon whiskey; marrying the flavor of an award-winning bourbon with the mouth feel, complexity and finish of a reserve quality rum.
