Hotel Vin And Blackland Distillery Prepare For Eclipse With Bourbon

Hotel Vin recently announced its partnership with Blackland Distillery in Fort Worth to release a limited-edition Eclipse Bourbon.

On April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse will cover parts of Mexico, Canada, and 13 states, including Texas. As the state will have the longest duration of totality during the eclipse and is projected to have the best eclipse-day weather prospects, Grapevine, TX-based hotel knew they needed a special celebration. “While most people might not know what they’re doing this weekend, we’re planning what to do two years from now!” said Hotel Vin Managing Director, Tom Santora. “We are always striving to create unique experiences, and with Blackland Distillery as our partner we know we have a good one.”

“Taking inspiration from the eclipse theme, we took a light versus dark approach,” added Blackland Founder Markus Kypreos. “We blended the lightest grain available, white corn, with a black grain called Midnight Wheat to create this special blend. It has only been in the barrel five months, but already has a honey color and a great nose. By April 2024 this will be a delicious spirit.”

In celebration of this astronomical event, Hotel Vin will be hosting an eclipse watch party, as the property is in the direct line of totality. “Our guests can be among the first to experience Eclipse Bourbon while enjoying one of the best views of the eclipse in the DFW Metroplex,” said Hotel Vin’s Food and Beverage Director, Nicole Haarklau.

The limited-edition Eclipse Bourbon will exclusively be available at Hotel Vin and Blackland Distillery on April 8.
