Today (May 19) is World Whisky Day. It was created by Blair Bowman and serves as an invitation for everyone to try a dram and celebrate the water of life. Events are taking place all over the world, but If you can’t find an event near you, host your own — all you need is a bottle of whisk(e)y to share with your friends. World Whisky Day celebrates all types of whisk(e)y and encourages everyone to enjoy it responsibly.
World Whisky Day is all about making whisk(e)y fun. It’s not about being exclusive or prescriptive. Drink it however you enjoy it. So, here’s to all of our fellow whisk(e)y fans — no matter how you spell it! Slainte!
