Ever Heard of a Vanagon?

When you think about a van, especially a Volkswagen Van you dont really expect a Vanagon. VW buses have been popular since most of our parents or even grandparents where out and about painting the town red. So when you see a shiny silver 1985 Vanagon stroll down your block it tends to call your attention.

Jesse Kozak is the proud owner of this gorgeous Vanagon in which him and his father put together.  Dad got him the Van for his 16th birthday and ever since then they have been working on it together hand and hand.  Being a nearly 30-year-old car it had its fair share of mileage that needed some attention.

Alongside all the wrench time put in,  there was also tons of attention put into the exterior. Jesse was able to find 7″ LED round headlights with Halo running lights originally designed for a jeep to fit his van.  Smoked LED taillights, custom rear hatch lip spoiler, oversized front splitter, checkerboard vinyl floor board along with dozens of more details to help this build.

Keeping the tradition alive that his father started with his father back in Germany when they built their first Vanagon, Jesse invested in fully restoring the exterior to its original “Flash Silver” color to help bring what he calls “the best father son project a kid can ask for” full circle.
