As the hospitality industry continues to adapt to how COVID-19 has changed the way it engages with consumers, Distillery 291 has taken their tasting room online during the shutdown period by offering fans virtual distillery tours, tastings, and music.
Colorado Springs-based distillery hopes to spread positivity and a welcome distraction via the livestreams on their social media and whiskey flight tastings on their YouTube channel (see schedules below).
Additionally, Distillery 291 and online wholesale alcohol distributor LibDib launched a virtual conference series to help liquor retailers navigate the latest market challenges. The series consists of six one-hour events (schedule below), each providing an opportunity for operators in the liquor industry to get insights and advice from business leaders and experts. Topics focus on the key issues facing the industry as it operates through the COVID-19 crisis and ultimately emerges into a new retail liquor environment.
“For the people on the front lines in our industry who are facing new challenges and uncertainty, we want to stand with them and navigate into the future together,” said Michael Myers, founder of Distillery 291 and creator of 291 Colorado Whiskey.
The free one-hour events all start at 2pm ET/11am PT and will include an open forum Q&A period. Liquor retailers and other attendees can register for the events here.
Distillery 291 and LibDib decided to co-host the events after seeing their fellow industry struggle in navigating the new market normals. “Now, more than ever, our industry needs thought leadership and imagination. We are big believers in a forward-looking approach to business, and that’s what this conference is all about,” said LibDib CEO Cheryl Durzy.
