Chivas recently unveiled its The Icon 50th Anniversary Limited Edition in celebration of Manchester United’s first cup victory in Europe fifty years ago.
The collection consisted of four bottles of rare fifty-year-old Scotch, representing each of the four goals scored by Manchester United on that memorable night.
Chivas gifted the first bottle of the rare, exquisite Scotch to a fan who has passionately supported the team through all obstacles. The second bottle of the collection was the only bottle in the world available for purchase via Sotheby’s. That bottle sold for £21,780 ($27,749.26).
The remaining bottles were put on display in the Manchester United Museum, before being offered for private sale at the end of season event, and at the Strathisla Distillery at the home of Chivas in Speyside, Scotland.
